Recycle Techs is an approved Washington State E-waste collector. We are working with Washington State to be providing free recycling of computer towers, monitors, and televisions. This program is available for all Washington State residents and all Washington State businesses with fewer than 50 employees. Non Washington residents are subject to our regular recycling charges. This program will not allow us to dismantle participating equipment in-house. Items will go to a Washington State approved precious metal extractor which will dismantle the units and securely destroy the hard drives. They will remove all recyclable parts and metals from each unit and dispose of the equipment properly. Precious metals can then be sold to other manufacturers to be used in new machines and other equipment.
Although
our public consumers are not as restricted to proper
disposal methods as businesses, that does not mean it is
not important to recycle your used equipment. Millions
of computers are disposed of improperly do to the fact
that organizations have not been around to properly
dispose of obsolete equipment. Improper disposing
poses a threat to our environment because of the high
amounts of toxic metals in each machine. Improper
disposal of electronics has been a problem for
many years and steps are currently being made to correct
this problem.
Recycle Techs was formed
to help reduce the amount of electronic waste being
disposed of in our dumps and landfills. Our job is to
repair and redistribute each computer to get it's full
use. Most of the computers we recycle have
outlived it's productivity in one environment but is
still in demand somewhere else. There are still
many homes and facilities in desperate demand for such
equipment. Please do your part and
